Two Curators, One Vision

VISION GROWS WHEN YOU CAN CARRY IT WITH OTHERS

Lisa Wedell

Renatus Living began when Lisa needed simple backyard furniture and instinctively returned to the world she was raised in. Her father and grandfather worked in the milling business, shaping lumber with a respect for material that became part of her own way of seeing. She grew up in the grain of wood, in the rhythm of work done by hand, and in a family where generosity and community were lived, not spoken.

From her mother and grandmother, she learned the art of making a home—gardening, cooking, sewing, and the quiet hospitality that gathers people. Daily walks to her grandmother’s house led her through a neighbor’s bamboo grove and into a small pottery studio, where she first discovered the tactile language of form, a path that later guided her toward cast‑stone work.

Renatus Living carries these inheritances forward: a reverence for craft, a devotion to family, and a belief that well‑made things restore a sense of place.

Bella & Benji

Quality Control and Office Morale Specialists

Bella and Benji are the smallest members of the Renatus Living team, but don’t let their size fool you because their standards are sky‑high. Between slab inspections, on‑site “supervision,” and the occasional nap taken strictly for research purposes, they bring a mix of curiosity, loyalty, and lighthearted discipline to the workshop.

Every project passes through their unofficial review process: a careful sniff test, a perimeter walk, and finally, their signature approval with a satisfied tail wag. When they’re not overseeing craftsmanship, you’ll find them greeting visitors, boosting team morale, or settling into their favorite office chair to monitor operations with great seriousness.

At Renatus Living, we believe a good workspace is built on intention, creativity, and a little joy. Bella and Benji make sure we never forget the joy.

“Quality is not an accident but a habit and beautiful things rarely came from rushing.”
